My life at home and work have met an unfortunate pause, as my own former footballer is glued to the television for the next month watching the World Cup. Although I can appreciate the cultural unity FIFA has created, I conveniently forget the goodwill of the games when I struggle to make a client phone call from the bathroom, the only place quiet enough to hold a conversation that doesn't include, "WHAT?!?! Oh COME on! RED CARD, RED CARD! Go Go Go GO!! Run Run!!"

Did I mention my laptop has been chosen to stream all the games to our non - cable TV?
