Holiday Decor 2010

Even though our furniture has hardly been unpacked long enough to gather dust, it's time to start thinking about Christmas decorations! Thanksgiving is also appropriately behind us, and the housewarming party is just around the corner.
Since Katie's not a huge fan of clutter, she's happy to take a back seat in displaying seasonal knick knacks and let's me create the holiday decoration strategy for the house. Though nothing has been trimmed so far, I'm loving the use of simple metallic shades like gold, platinum and silver. I found some great ideas from Martha for both trees and outdoor adornment.

With the addition of little white lights, this children's tree would even be worthy of
a main attraction in the living room.

Though the style and color scheme don't quite match the house, this set up from coco + kelley was too great not to share. The spread was designed with a bachelor pad in mind, however I think this would also be fabulous for anyone with a love of retro glam.
