Bed to the Room

The bedroom revamp began months ago when I found this article as inspiration. Though the timing of my redecoration raised a red flags to some (I admit, painting everything black and charcoal is certainly not the sunniest of color schemes), I think the concept is coming along swimmingly.

The thick white trim and huge windows in the house definitely offset the otherwise dark and dreary palette. Complimentary colors of gold, pink, and robin's egg blue don't hurt either.

Here's what it all looks like at the present:

This dresser is the next to be redone. It was painted once before, unfortunately the coral pink has since outgrown the color scheme in any room. I think I've finally decided on a very pale teal blue, with a strong black outline

In addition, the other half of the draperies still need to be made and the pink pillow covers sewn. I'm just about there!
