I picked a bottle of Moscato up on a whim for Valentine's weekend when Nick was in town. This was before I knew he was coming to visit with the flu and all alcohol would be off the schedule.
After a long week, I decided this new friend should be opened tonight. As I vaguely remembered, Moscato is a bit fermented, though less sparkling than champagne, and sweet like jam. In essence, dessert in a glass!
However, I forgot how delicious it is. I've found another variety staple to join the select others :)

Moscato is a terrific wine ... amazing with fruit-based desserts and biscotti.
