On dorkspace I've pulled a couple Oprah's and "featured" some of my favorite items of the month in a blog. This posting is more focused on the unexpected everyday parts of LA that have made me fall in love with the city.
- There is a new shopping district to discover almost every week
- Actually SEEING the writers on strike at all the studios
- Knowing every street mentioned in People and Us Weekly
- Using the Hills as my own version of Citysearch
- Sunday mornings on the highway, the only time there is NO traffic
- Last minute concerts annouced by all my favorite up and coming artists are always performing just a block or two away.
- As much as I complain about it, it's always kind of fun to see my street being used for a filming.
- At any given moment a VIP party, movie premiere, gallery opening, screening, or TV show taping can pop up on the agenda
- The gift bags!
- Everyone dresses in so many layers even though it's 80 year round
- Pinkberry, California Pizza Kitchen, In n Out, and the Coffee Bean
- Driving along the PCH
- No one works a 9 to 5
- Going out means NETWORKING
- Morning brunch and Melrose shopping
They call it the City of Angels, I believe LA just might be a slice of excessively graffitied Heaven
