Online of course...
Somehow blogging about it makes this more official (not to mention the 13 boxes I've spent all day packing). Many people have already heard the news that Los Angeles and I will be separating at the end of January. This is a very tough time for both of us and we plan to part on amicable terms (i.e. I'll be back on California soil as much as possible).
I'll be moving to Las Cruces, NM to work with my family in their tradeshow promotion company. My initial focus will be marketing, more specifically revamping advertising efforts and branding the company. This is an incredible career opportunity, and longtime friends and family know that it's a position I have been considering since college. Although I would have LOVED to stay in LA longer, the timing was pretty perfect for coming onboard to work for the fam.
Since the cost of living is considerably lower than LA, I've been able to make the big transition from renting to owning a house (yikes! I'm becoming such a grown up).
My new hometown is going to be quite different from good ol' Hollywood, but I'm hoping the transition to small town living will go smoothly. I spent three years in Cheney, WA and a year in Boise; all experiences that bring back great memories, which means I think I'm up to the challenge. And anytime I need a dose of Tinseltown, it's a mere plane ride away.
