All About "Trimming" Trees

We have our Christmas tree up and decorated. I have to admit, getting it at a nursery was no comparison to cutting down my own tree at Thornton's Tree Land while eating candy canes, sipping hot cocoa, and feeding the barnyard sheep and goats. Sometimes Texas just can't hold a candle to Washington.

It's a modest effort with traditional large white lights, and red ornaments.

I used the extra bows to decorate the living room lights and my bookshelf.

I found these fun trees online. I think I may try to make this 2 dimensional tree in the bedroom

A Sex and the City themed tree! Too perfect!

And finally, a Parisian nights tree with feathers and adornments galore. This is definitely a tree to aspire to next year.

How many trees do you guys have/need?! I also think your pink tree is one of the ug...t things I've seen in a long time - but there never is any accounting for taste, is there? (such as it is...).
You Mom and I are still trying to make it to Spokane this week, even if the weather forecast isn't too good (more snow later this week and lots of cold weather!). Portland got some snow yestarday, but Vancouver hardly got any, although channel 8 here broadcast and sounded as if the entire city was buried in snow and ice and they were looking for survivors... rather ridiculous, I thought. We'll keep you informed about our move to Sopokane.
Love, your Dad.

Make that Spokane, of course - I wonder what the weather's like there?!
