One of my favorite annual projects from FIDM is a collaboration between students in the textile (fabric pattern making), fashion design, and interior design programs. As a team, each with member representing one of these programs, they design a chair and dress "set."
This year was even more interesting. FIDM has been working with Barbie to celebrate its 50th year. Each set paid tribute to Barbie's 50 decades of style. Here are a few of my favorites:
I love the idea behind this last design. The chair folds up into a suitcase! Barbie sure knows how to travel in style.
