Spring Has Sprung

There's something so magical about watching seeds grow day by day. The promise of new life appears once more.

I'm trying my luck on a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The lettuce seems to be thriving the most so far.

The Sad Realities at Work

Random Thought: Is there nothing more rewarding in life (at least on a Friday) than crossing off "to do" items?

I almost feel like listing additional tasks I've already completed just so I can cross them out.

Now if only I can get the facilities guy to cross "hang Carina's white board" off his 'to do' list. It's been on the floor for a month!

Random Musings: Catching some Zzzzs

It's not that I think I have narcolepsy (I did see a guy fall asleep standing up in the middle of Pike Place, by the fish, once... only in Seattle), but I seem to need so much more sleep than the average bear, or human.

Anyone who has seen me before 10 am is well aware that I am not a morning person. I'm grumpy, whiny, snoozy, and other 7 dwarf personas. But the truth is the actual act of waking up is what I don't like. I never feel rested enough.

These days I'm getting 9 - 10 hours of sleep every night, plus a power nap at lunch at least five times a week. I'm even taking vitamins to buff up on my iron.

I wish I was the type of person who could survive on 4 hours each night. Coffee just seems to be losing its strength!

TGIF: Home Sweet Hizzle

As I've been blogstalking designers and stylists this week to get a feel for how I want to refresh good ol' Tinseltown, I've also come across some of the most random and awesome clothing and home ideas/products.

If you didn't catch on from the knife man earlier this week, this doormat should truly portray my feelings about decorating. It should be fabulous but not too serious. Homes and apparel were meant to represent personality. I want mine to be polished (yet unexpected), and FUN.

As Rachel would say, "I'm bananas for this piece!"
