- Authentocrat: A staunch adherent to all things authentic. In travel, one who rejects the trappings and experiences to mass tourism and, instead, prizes that which feels both genuine and rooter in place. Austin has some decent seafood restaurants, but I'm too much of an authentocrat to eat Copper River salmon anywhere outside the Northwest.
- Chigantic: Of very great size; huge or enormous. Use this to take the place of former buzz work Ginormous. Saturday night's get together is going to be chigantic, everyone will be there!
- Franglais: A colloquial amalgamation of French and English long favored by style hounds, now on the verge of becoming a full blown language. Pardon mon Franglais, but I'm j'adoring her nouveau look. A petite splash of color avec some sparkle really dresses up that tragique old frock.
- Americation: A vacation taken in America. Former globe trotters who are tightening the belt might choose this option as a step up from the less glamorous staycation. It's not that I don't want to see the Eiffel Tower and eat croissants in Paris, but an Americation to New York during fashion week is just as glam.
