Weekend Report

Friday we made a homecoming trip to the old fave, Busby’s. The still up and coming hot spot did not disappoint. It provided the perfect combination of staff welcomes/ drink comps and a dance party revolution. I’m still so glad this little gem is just across the street.

Saturday night was spent in the OC at Chapman college for a screening of Amanda’s friend, Will Prescott’s film Peephole. This was actually my first film screening. I made sure to dress in my most indie outfit to fit in with the theatrical and emotionally tortured. I acquired great knowledge of the post-production process and why film is really held in “a vault.”

Last but not least, the weekend was wrapped up at Hermosa beach catching the Manhattan fireworks. I’m a sucker for all things holiday, and any excuse to head west :) Thanks Rouven for hosting the group get together!

In between each weekend evening was either spent movie watching on the couch or shopping on Melrose; in essence, the perfect way to spend a day.
“Spotted”: Since one of the most common questions I am asked by friends from home is if I have seen any celebrities (and usually in the moment my mind goes completely blank) I decided to place a small anecdote at the end of my daily blog of who I happen to run in to that day.

Saturday at brunch on Melrose, I received something “off the menu” when the host sat me next to Justin Chambers (Alex on Grey’s Anatomy).
