Here are some of the hottest trends:
Red is the new pink.... Pink had a strong presence in Spring and Summer. This season, go back to the uber feminine color's roots and opt for the more serious and sexy shade of red. Add a splash into your outfit with a handbag, scarf, red shoe, or even a cherry red lipstick.

Find your inner cougar by sporting animal prints. Leopard is an especially big trend. Rarrrr!

Look for leather in all forms and functions. The motorcycle jacket has made a HUGE comeback. Other hot leather items are tall boots, driving gloves, mini skirts, and even all leather dresses.

Hardware no longer refers to tools. Sharp accessories will top off the rocker redux look. Studded shoes, metal chains, and exposed zippers will give you the industrial influence.

The Brat Pack may have moved on in their lives, but their wardrobes are still with us. The 80s clothes we thought were long gone have returned in their classic form.
Strong shoulders could be seen on almost every runway from fashion week.

If haute couture is a little extreme for your tastes (as it should be), try the look in a watered down version. Pair a blouse featuring accentuated shoulders with a pair of jeans (yes, those are acid wash).

Other big 80s looks include neon colors, oversized blazers, and hammer pants... their new millennium name is "harem" pants... you say potato, I say just plain wrong.

Trends you can keep wearing from last year include leggings, metallics, asymmetrical dresses and tops, jewel tones, and statement jewelry.
If you're looking to freshen these looks up, upgrade your leggings from the standard black to an open foot or open toe jewel tone tight.
Metallics are finding new shades in gunmetal and copper. Sequins and short boots are still a great version of this look.

Fabulous, thank you so much! By the way, I love the new pic you put on your blog. You look bananas! ;)
Problem is, you never see anyone (any woman) walk around in these outfits - or are they just for occasional/indoor wear? Before you spend you hard-earned money on this fluff...err...stuff, wait till next season, and then postpone it again, and so on. I guess it's because I'm not a woman, which is a blessing to womankind, as Catherine always tells me...and she's probably right. All us guys need is a decent suit, a nice shirt, tie and a nice pair of shoes (or alternatively, just some (nice) casual clothes), and we're set!
Ah yes, men will always be men and women are women (bless their hearts), and never the twain shall meet...
My 2 cents for today. Love, your Dad
